An educational citrus seminar will be held July 10, in Santa Paula, Calif., sponsored by the Citrus Research Board and University of California Cooperative Extension.

• “Epidemiology and management of Hyphoderma gummosis in Lemons” – Jim Adaskaveg, plant pathology, University of California (UC), Riverside

• “How can I be more efficient with my water?” – Larry Schwankl, irrigation specialist, UC Cooperative Extension

• “New mandarin varieties – Which are a “fit” for Ventura County conditions?” – Mikeal Roose, botany and plant sciences, UC Riverside

• “6 in 60 - News reports on current issues” – including an Asian citrus psyllid update from Ted Batkin, president, Citrus Research Board

The seminar is approved for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit.

The cost is $20 per person including lunch and course materials.
