At the recent daytime academic honor assembly at Woodmore High School in Elmore, Ohio, three seniors from Elmore were presented with the National FFA graduation sash. They will graduate June 2.

Krista Hellwig, agricultural science instructor and FFA Chapter advisor, presented the royal blue sashes, which are embroidered with the National FFA symbol, along with the Woodmore High School’s initials and the current year. They were purchased by Woodmore’s FFA Alumni Association.

ACCOMPLISHED FFA STUDENTS: Proudly wearing the national FFA sash at a Woodmore High School academic honor assembly are students Alexandra Liskai (left), Lindsay Giesler and Nicholas Wagner. Their FFA advisor, Krista Hellwig, is at the lectern behind the students.

Alexandra Liskai, Lindsay Giesler and Nicholas Wagner qualified to wear this school-approved national honor.

Liskai will begin her secondary education at Ohio State University Agricultural Technology Institute, where she has chosen ag education as her major and production agriculture as her minor.

Giesler has been accepted at Owens Community College and plans to study to become a medical assistant.

Wagner will venture into the realm of full-time small business owner and will continue to run the lawn care business he began in high school as part of the FFA program.
