Bayer Animal Health last week announce the launch of its newest app to help beef and livestock producers calculate inclusion rates for its Rabon Oral Larvicide.

Rabon is a feed-through larvicide that can be used as part of an integrated fly control program for beef and dairy cattle, swine and horses.

The new Rabon Calculator app will assist dealers, distributors and end users in computing optimal inclusion rates of Rabon. It is now available for download on smartphones and tablets at both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for Android.

Among the first of its kind in the insecticide space, the app uses basic inputs — such as animal size, number of animals and feed mix size — to calculate correct amounts of Rabon for feed-through control of all four major fly species in cattle.

According to Bayer, additional benefits of the app include the ability to:
• Calculate applications for feed inclusion or mineral batch feeding for small and large herds;
• Determine optimal Rabon intake for any specific animal;
• Be more reactive to changes in herds and deliver the right amount of product to effectively managing horn, face, stable and house flies.

The app is for use with Rabon 7.76 Oral Larvicide Premix and Rabon 97.3 Oral Larvicide formulations.  These products control and prevent development of horn flies, face flies, house flies and stable flies.
