Top beef industry experts have been hired for Cattlemen's College on Friday, Dec. 12, at the 2008 Missouri Cattlemen's Convention in Springfield.

Justin Sexton, University of Missouri Extension beef nutritionist, will teach a course on alternative feed sources. He will discuss the utilization and proper storage methods of distiller's grains and other byproduct feeds. Other sessions offered at Cattlemen's College this year include alternative energy, making your cattle work for the customer, and investing in veterinary care and consultation.

Cattlemen's College runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday. Registration is $100 for the first person and $75 for each additional person from the same household or business. Student registration is $25 and is available to current high school and college students.
