Kim Anderson, long-time columnist for Southwest Farm Press and a highly respected wheat marketing expert has been honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Southern Agricultural Economics Association.
Why wheat prices increase?
Anderson received the award Feb. 3. He was cited for his creativity in teaching, timely marketing advice to Southwest producers and his commitment to learning how markets and business operate in the real world.

“For some 30 years Dr. Anderson has written a column ‘Wheat Scoops’ for every issue we’ve published,” said Ron Smith, Southwest Farm Press editor. “I learned early on that if space for an issue was tight, I should leave out something else because readers would notice and complain.”
Anderson has always been a strong believer in lifelong learning.
