In less than a week, Americans all over the country will flock to the polls to elect the next President. Either incumbent Donald Trump will hold on and serve for a second term, or Joe Biden will take over the reins.
The situation prompts a few serious questions. For example, if Trump wins, will he remain loyal to farmers, who received ample aid during his first term? If Biden wins, are any dramatic changes to policy waiting in the wings?
There are, of course, many implications for the agriculture industry, no matter who wins the election. And we’re not just voting for a new President, either, but also a bevy of state and local candidates next Tuesday.
Please vote (if you haven’t already), and in the meantime, tune into this lively discussion with Farm Futures’ policy editor, Jacqui Fatka.
