Dirt devils are common in Delta farm fields, but a fire tornado is an extreme rarity. Charlie Fyfe, Alliance Application Equipment rep, Clarksdale, Miss., was quick to get the scene on camera before the tornado spun out at Allen Byrd Farms in Moon Lake, Miss. “I would guess it was about 40 to 50 feet high and probably moving 10 miles per hour,” Fyfe said.
