West Tennessee crop meetings Feb. 25, 27

THE EXTENSION Service in Shelby and Tipton counties in Tennessee will hold meetings to provide information to producers in the area about row crop production and the marketing outlook.

A Feb. 25 cotton meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Tennessee Technology Center in Covington, Tenn. and end with lunch.

A Feb. 27 corn, soybean and small grains meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Bakers Community Center in Millington, Tenn., and end with lunch.

Speakers at one or both meetings will include: Chism Craig, cotton and small grains specialist with the University of Tennessee; Scott Stewart, UT cotton insect specialist; Angela Thompson, UT corn and soybean specialist; Melvin Newman, UT professor of plant pathology; Craig Massey, UT IPM specialist; and Bob Williams, Tennessee Extension area corn, soybean, and small grains specialist.

The marketing outlook meeting will begin with breakfast at 7:30 a.m., March 4, at the Old Timers Restaurant in Millington, Tenn.
