Max Armstrong shares a few highlights from the American Farm Bureau Convention. Zippy Duvall, President, American Farm Bureau Federation talks more about the labor shortage that agriculture faces. Duvall notes that sustainability and climate are top priorities. Concerns about crop inputs and crop protection.

Richard Guebert, President, Illinois Farm Bureau shares with Max concerns with crop protection products and availability. Max is joined by Ohio Farm Bureau President Bill Patterson to talk more about how they can make a difference with lawmakers and getting the message to those lawmakers on concerns in their agriculture communities.

The winner of the 2022 Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year competition is Fit, a border collie that belongs to Cindy Deak, Florida Farm Bureau Member. Cindy shares about Fit’s day to day job and what makes her such a special farm dog.

Max talks more about the highlights from the Farm Bureau convention to include mental health, young farmers that are recognized. Kansas Senator Roger Marshall joins Max to talk about the farm bill that is just ahead and what he hears from farmers about the current farm bill and what can be improved or changed.
