Part 1

Max Armstrong and Mike Pearson are in the studio this week. Max kicks off the show with talk about the interest farmers have in leasing land to alternative energy producers. Next, Mike gets a crop update from Minnesota with Paul Zimmerman. Mike talks to with Darin Newsom, Darin Newsom Analysis, about what lessons we can learn from coffee and other soft markets can tell us about soybean markets.

Part 2

Darin Newsom, Darin Newsom Analysis, rejoins Mike to talk about corn. In the Colby Ag Tech segment Chad Colby is talking about new tech being debuted at the Farm Progress Show with an interview with Matt Jungmann, show manager.

Part 3

Mike is talking to Von Ketelsen of Carrol Broadcasting talking about the big RAGBRAI bicycle ride across Iowa and his unique International Harvester bike.

Part 4

Al Gustin reports from the Northern Plains on the wheat harvest. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje has the weather for the week ahead.

Part 6

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a 1970 Ford 9000 owned by Jerry Davis of Perryville, Mo. In the FFA Chapter Tribute Mike Pearson chats with Meagan Forck, Missouri State FFA VP. She is looking forward to getting out and meeting FFA members that need support. In Samuelson Sez, Orion Samuelson shares a story from a viewer about the trouble in the Dominican Republic as it fights African Swine Fever.

Part 7

Max and Mike talk about Lee Brice performing his new song “Farmer” which he’ll debut in concert at Farm Progress Show. Then they discuss how they stay cooled in the summer including stock tank swimming.
