Biologicals are the next big development area on the agenda of most crop protection companies, but for many the focus is disease or insect control. But one company, Harpe Bioherbicide Solutions, has discovered a plant extract that acts as a non-selective herbicide, and pairs well with conventional products.

To get better insight on the topic, Farm Progress talked with Bill Buckner, CEO Harpe, and Chad Brommer, co-founder and chief technical officer. They share a lot of information about how the product works, and what it may mean for both the organic and conventional crop markets.

Buckner left retirement after serving at Bayer then later heading up the Soil Health Partnership because he got his own demonstration of the product. He shares that story as part of this podcast which offers an interesting look at a product that demonstrates no herbicide resistance.

Give it a listen.
