Groundwater recharge workshop May 12 in San Luis Obispo

Groups will discuss groundwater recharge at Central Coast meeting

The San Luis Obispo County Recharge Workgroup will hold a half-day workshop focused on the potential for using storm water to recharge groundwater supplies in the county.

The workshop takes place May 12 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo County Veteran's Hall, 801 Grand Avenue, San Luis Obispo.

There is no cost to attend but registration is required.

This workshop is sponsored by the San Luis Obispo County Recharge Workgroup, whose members include representatives from the University of California Cooperative Extension, San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau, San Luis Obispo County Department of Public Works, San Luis Obispo County Department of Agriculture/Weights and Measures, San Luis Obispo County Administrative Office, Coastal San Luis and Upper Salinas Las Tablas Resource Conservation Districts, and the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board.
