The latest Arizona Agri-Weekly report from the National Agricultural Statistics Service in Phoenix, Ariz. as of Feb. 20.

Field crops

Alfalfa condition remains variable ranging from poor to excellent depending on the location. Harvesting is active in some areas. Sheeping off remains active in many areas.

Range and pasture condition is mostly fair to good, but a significant amount is in very poor to poor condition.

Vegetable, fruit, and specialty crops

Central Arizona growers shipped bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, cilantro, kale, parsley, and various citrus.

Western Arizona growers shipped arrugula, bok choy broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, Chinese cabbage, cilantro, endive, escarole, frisee, kale, Boston, iceberg, green leaf, red leaf, romaine lettuce, parsley, radicchio, spinach, and various citrus.

Weather summary

Temperatures were mostly above normal across Arizona for the week ending Feb. 20, ranging from 3 degrees below normal at Paloma and Parker to 11 degrees above normal at Douglas.

The highest temperature of the week was 82 degrees at Marana and Tucson. The lowest reading was 11 degrees at Grand Canyon.

There was precipitation recorded in 19 of the 22 stations, ranging from 0.02 inches in Safford to 2.38 inches in Flagstaff. The weather station in Tucson has not received precipitation this year.
