Both crop conditions increased one point in the good/excellent categories.

Corn condition

The crop progress report shows 69% of the corn in good/excellent condition. That’s up from 68% last week, and 61% last year.

Here are the good/excellent conditions in the top five corn producing states: Iowa (73%), Illinois (79%), Nebraska (82%), Minnesota (78%), Kansas (47%).

Soybean condition

Soybean report identical to corn—68%  in good/excellent condition, up one point from last week, 8% higher than last year.

This week, here are the good/excellent conditions in the top five soybean producing states: Illinois (79%), Iowa (72%), Minnesota (73%), Nebraska (83%), North Dakota (54%).

Corn dented

Corn is 97% in the dent stage, up from the four-year average of 93%.

Corn maturity

Corn  continues way ahead of the four-year average for maturity. It’s 72% this week, up from the four-year average of 53%.

Corn harvest

Corn is 16% harvested, up from the four-year average of 11%.

Missouri producers report 43% of the crop is harvested followed by Illinois (28%) and Indiana (18%) in the Midwest.

Soybean leaf drop

Soybean maturity shows 71% of the crop has dropped leaves, up from the four-year average of 57%.

Soybeans harvested

The soybean harvest is moving along. Report shows 14% of the crop harvested, up from the four-year average of 8%.
