The Almond Board of California is conducting two Efficient Irrigation & Nitrogen Use Workshops scheduled for Feb. 22 in Modesto and March 2 in Fresno, both sponsored by the ABC.

The agenda is the same at both locations.

8:00 -  Arrival, Sign-in and Refreshments

8:15 -  Almond Board of California Update

8:30 -  Sustainability Program Tools to Support Almond Growers

9:30 -  Almond Board’s Irrigation Continuum Standards

10:00- Demonstration: FREE Irrigation Budgeting Tool

10:30 - Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program Update: Nitrogen Management Plans, etc.

11:00 - Demonstration: FREE Nitrogen Budgeting and Farm Mapping Tools

11:30- CDFA Financial Assistance Programs for Growers

The workshops begin at 8 a.m. and conclude by noon. Lunch is free to everyone who RSVPs at the ABC's Jenny Nicolau at [email protected] or (209) 343-3248.

The Modesto event will be held at the MJC Ag Pavilion - enter at the cross-section of Brink Ave. and Student Center Dr.

The Fresno workshop is at the CIT Building at 5370 N. Chestnut Ave.
