New 800, 900 Series from Fendt coming down the line

Fendt 800, 900 series tractors are Tier 4 Final-compliant. Enhanced in-cab monitor works like a smartphone or tablet. Fendt says its new reversible fan option is an industry first.

Fendt debuted two tractor lines — the 800 and 900 series — at the National Farm Machinery Show. “It was the first public appearance anywhere in North America of any of the new-generation 800s and 900s that are Tier 4 Final-compliant,” says Reid Hamre, AGCO brand marketing manager.

Hamre says Fendt has set an industry first with its new optional reversing fan, which is helpful when operating front-mounted mowers. Controlled through the monitor, the cooling fan can be reversed by swinging the blades over dead center to reduce downtime and increase engine performance.

The Varioterminal 10.4-B in-cab monitor, with improved software, acts like a tablet or smartphone. Tractor controls, ISOBUS implement control, camera functions, automated steering and VarioDoc documentation are managed on the terminal. The monitor also offers better contrast, a night mode and a new bracket for better adjustment.

Better front-hitch technology originally introduced on Fendt’s 700 series is now available for the 800 and 900 series. An optional front PTO (1,000 rpm) is complemented by an optional front hitch for various front-mounted implements.

Low- and high-beam headlights use bi-LED lamps, which are steerable. Work and corner lights are also LED. And the VarioGrip adjustable tire inflation system is an option on flange-axle-equipped tractors to adjust tire pressure on the go according to field or road conditions.

The 800 series includes models 822, 824, 826 and 828, ranging from 229 to 280 hp. The 900 series includes the 927, 930, 933 (pictured) and 936, ranging from 270 to 360 hp. All models meet Tier 4 Final standards for better overall fluid efficiency and feature continuously variable Vario transmissions. Four electrohydraulic double-acting valves at the rear come standard, with an option of up to six rear and two front.

Pricing on the 800 series ranges from $255,285 to $442,931. Pricing on the 900 series ranges from $327,527 to $539,245. Visit
