Oregon tools for cleanup on the farm this spring

Oregon may be a familiar name because of their global production of saw chain for over 60 years, but they’re now stepping into the cordless tool market as a new player. They’ve launched a line of cordless lawn and garden tools that offers solid power, convenience and reduced maintenance for cleanup jobs around the farm. Farm Industry News sat down with Joe Fruechtel, product line coordinator, Oregon, to get the details on the company’s newest cordless offerings. All the tools in the line are powered by 40V lithium ion batteries available in a range from 1.25 Ah to 4.0 Ah, and the battery packs are interchangeable and work with all Oregon cordless tools. And chargers are available in rapid or standard models. The rapid chargers can charge a battery to full in an hour or less, and the standard option will charge a battery in one to 3.5 hours, depending on the battery. So consider these offerings if you’re in the market for some new yard cleanup tools this spring. Fruechtel says the new tools can be found anywhere you can buy a chain saw, such as ACE or True Value. Or you can order online.
