New Case IH disk harrow for tough residue

New Case IH disk harrow for tough residue

Case IH is launching a brand new tillage tool that's available for ordering now.

Case IH has announced it’s adding new True-Tandem 345 seed bed disk harrows to its tillage lineup. The tool handles tough Bt corn and other residue in the spring or fall.

A rolling reel basket is optional and has active hydraulic down pressure to size any large clods and help condition the soil ahead of the planter. This optional 345 basket uses the same double-edge bent bar as the Ecolo-Tiger 875. Constant down pressure means farmers have total control of the tool.

More options include:

  • Three-bar coil tine harrow for leveling, with adjustable tine angle and down pressure; or
  • A rear hitch for pulling a Case IH Crumbler seed bed conditioner

Earth Metal blades on the 345 are able to handle the toughest residue and maintain soil nutrients. They are sized at 22-in., and the company says they last 20% longer than conventional blades.

Case IH also implemented more greaseless bearings in this design on hinges, rockshafts and baskets. And the True-Tandem mainframe and wing wheels move independently and stay on the ground better.

Stubble-resistant tires are optional, and every unit comes with LED lighting.

The 345 replaces the 340 disk harrow single fold models. Orders are now being accepted for delivery in 2015. Depending on size, prices range from $40,400 to $67,000. Contact your local Case IH dealer or visit
