Think different Farm management is evolving from precision agriculture to predictive agriculture and, eventually, to prescriptive agriculture, says Climate Corporation CEO David Friedberg. Ohio farmer Brian Watkins’ financial management model is one such example. His predictive ag tool is used to make better and easier decisions. Watkins, of Kenton, Ohio, raises 7,000 acres of corn and soybeans, plus 2,800 sows farrow-to-finish. He tapped his ag economics and MBA degrees to create a financial model that encourages easier what-if farm decisions. The tool uses geo-referenced data to support decisions and on a cooperative level with other producers. Learn more about Cropzilla.
