These tech products help you manage more efficiently

EXTEND TECHNOLOGY TO MORE PEOPLE- One of Ag Junction’s goals with Wheelman is to help farmers with older equipment like this tractor take advantage of the benefits of auto-steering.
What’s New From the Shows: Precision technology offerings for 2019.

By Farm Progress staff

Manage both individual operations and crop and farm management decisions more efficiently with new product offerings from well-established companies in the equipment and farm technology business. Several new products, including upgrades that allow you to go further than you could with existing technologies, were unveiled at farm shows recently.

Two companies want to make it easier for you to gain the efficiency of auto-steering for equipment operations on older tractors and equipment. AgJunction introduced its economical solution, which it hopes will bring auto-steering to smaller farms that thought they couldn’t afford the technology before. Wheelman is priced to fit more farmers’ budgets and bring auto-steering to older tractors, even open-platform tractors without cabs.

John Deere also introduced a universal auto-steering option that should allow farmers with older tractors of various makes to get into auto-steering if they choose. Its precision technology guidance is specifically targeted at operators who may not have used this new way to improve efficiency.

Several companies have pushed the boundaries of what can be done with farm software programs. Trimble’s new offerings should make it easier to track costs and profits across one's farm enterprise — unit by unit, field by field.

Soil Test Pro has tweaked several products to enhance what customers can do with its software. Soil Test Pro is also cooperating with John Deere and Farm Server to enhance what customers of each company can do with their software.
