Working with Nebraska farmer Scott McPheeters, we’ve pulled together a slate of four seminars relevant to your farm business. Long the moderator for the FIN seminars at NFMS, McPheeters brings a real-world approach to the meetings, asking questions that farmers would ask, and there's a little humor too.

Working with McPheeters, we've pulled together a slate of sessions that will help you deal with some cutting edge topics. This year, we’re looking at new tech in new ways from a number of angles: from spraying to fertilizer to management to imagery. The show runs Feb. 15-18. And the seminars are held in South Wing B 104 - a large space. And don't forget we offer free cookies too!

New Sprayer Tech and What it Means for My Farm
Wednesday, Feb. 15, 1 p.m.

Precision in spray application is becoming more important every year, especially with the growing range of new crop protection products you’re using. This update looks at the latest tech for precision spraying, including pulse-width modulation and what that means for application. We'll have representatives from Raven, TeeJet, Capstan Ag and John Deere on hand.

Farm Data at Work on the Farm
Thursday, Feb. 16, 1 p.m.

There’s been a lot of talk about farm data and how it can be used. In this real-world presentation, companies that are putting information to work in new ways will share their insights. From precision agriculture information to aggregating information for top value, this seminar will cover a wide range of issues. We'll have representatives from Farmer Business Network, Farmobile LLC, Farmers Edge and Farmlogs on hand to answer your questions about tech and data.

Super-Precise Fertilizer Application
Thursday, Feb. 16. 4 p.m.

New tools are available to measure and manage crop fertility in new ways — in season. From in-crop application to sensor tech to better apply nutrients for best results, this seminar covers them all. Learn more about this hot area of production, where farmers are saving on fertilizer yet getting higher yields. Speakers will be on hand to represent 360 Yield Center, Netafim, and New Leader.

Aerial Imagery: What’s Up With That?
Friday, Feb. 17, 1 p.m.

The rise of unmanned aerial vehicle, or drone, use has brought a resurgence in the use of aerial imagery to evaluate in-season crop performance. Just what can you do with those images, and how are farmers putting them to use in their operations? Learn that and more at this seminar. On hand will be speakers from Satshot, Flying Ag LLC and Aero Vironment, all with the latest tools for managing, and using, aerial imagery.
