The Green Bay Packers Foundation has become a Gold Sponsor of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, making a $2,500 contribution to the Brown County committee that is hosting the 2008 farm show.

Founded in 1954, the three-day outdoor farm show travels to a different Wisconsin county each year, with many of its costs being defrayed by sponsor contributions. Country Aire Farms, Greenleaf, will serve as the show site on July 15-17

"By sponsoring our show, the Packers Foundation is continuing its longstanding record of support for groups throughout Wisconsin," notes Deb Barlament, the show's fundraising chairperson. The show was one of 64 civic and charitable groups throughout the state to receive funds. "The Packers Foundation is very pleased to award these grants," says Mark Murphy, Packers president and CEO, noting that organizations receiving funds "perform excellent work in our communities and are great examples for all of us."

According to Barlament, anyone wishing to make a cash or in-kind donation to the show should contact the Brown County UW-Extension Office at 920-391-4610 or visit the 2008 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days web site at www.wifarmtechnologydays.com, then click "Brown County."
