It’s just a short time until the 65th anniversary Mid-South Farm and Gin Show, set for March 3-4 at the downtown Cook Convention Center in Memphis, sponsored by the Southern Cotton Ginners Association and Foundation, with Delta Farm Press as co-sponsor.
Have you pre-registered for the show? If not, visit the Farm and Gin Show website, click on Attendee Registration, and take care of that right now — it’ll make getting your name badge quick and easy, so you’ll have more time for the show.
Drawings will be held for two cash prizes that will be awarded for those registering for the show in advance. Register online by Feb. 24 and be eligible to win $1,000 cash prize. The winner of the Feb. 24 drawing will be notified Feb. 27. Register online by March 2 and be eligible to win $1,000 cash prize. The winner of the March 2 drawing will be notified March 3.
In addition to the cash prize drawings for online registration, cash prizes will also be awarded each day of the show. Attendees who complete their stamp station card will be entered into cash prize drawings daily.
There’s also a $500 attendance prize awarded at the Saturday, March 4, Ag Update Seminar featuring Richard Brock. The drawing will be held at the conclusion of the seminar, and the winner must be present to claim the prize.
Cash prizes are a popular feature of the show — as is the giveaway each day of a Labrador puppy. One puppy is given away Friday and Saturday afternoons, courtesy of Jimmy McMahon and Sur-Shot Retrievers. Attendees can complete an application slip to be eligible for the puppy drawing, Friday and Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the south hall of the convention center. Winners must be present to claim the puppy.
Many exhibitors also hold drawings for a wide range of items. Vendors have been known to give away products and services on display at the show, as well as farm machinery and equipment, and other collectibles.
Those planning to attend the show are encouraged to pre-register online (https://www.farmandginshow.com/; click on Attendee Registration). Pre-registration allows you to move through the onsite registration process more quickly and receive name badges — plus being eligible for the two cash drawings.
Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 3, and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 4. More information is available at https://www.farmandginshow.com/.
