The 50th anniversary of World Ag Expo, the world’s largest outdoor farm exposition, is Feb. 14-16, 2017 at the International Agri-Center grounds in Tulare, Calif.
“World Ag Expo has built a 50-year legacy of bringing agricultural buyers and sellers together,” says Jerry Sinift, chief executive officer of the International Agri-Center which sponsors the event.
Sinift adds, “World Ag Expo is here to facilitate the connections between the exhibitors who provide the most advanced technology and equipment, and the farmers who continue to evaluate and improve their operations to meet that demand.”
Show times are Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 14-15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday, Feb. 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
General admission tickets are $15 at the gate. Children 6 and under are admitted free.
World Ag Expo will include more than 1,500 exhibitors displaying cutting-edge agricultural technology and equipment on 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space.
Last year, a record-setting 106,000 people from 47 states and 79 countries attended World Ag Expo.
This year’s event offers daily equipment showcases where exhibitors perform live demonstrations of their latest products. Free seminars will cover dairy, irrigation, international trade, business and farm management, marketing and media, and general agriculture.
The Top-10 New Products Competition, sponsored by Bank of America, offers new technology and increased efficiencies, including products on dairy nutrition, irrigation technology, crop cleaning, and melon harvesting.
Part of the 50th anniversary celebration includes the Bud Light After-Hours Party in the Arena on Wednesday evening with a free concert by Parmalee, plus fireworks to commemorate the golden anniversary.
The newly expanded Career & Education Center has relocated to South Greenbelt, just north of the World Ag Women Pavilion. This area is larger and will allow more schools and companies serving the career-searching audience to be part of this space.
