Sunridge adds North Coast service rep

Sunridge Nurseries announces the introduction of its new North Coast field representative, Michael Monette. Monette is now working with growers in the area and focusing on customer service.

“The part of this career that I feel passionate about is that I get to help our customers succeed,” Monette said. “It's a win-win situation. As I do my job, Sunridge gains happy customers. At the same time, our customers are provided with a vehicle to help them be more successful. It's all about creating superior grapes for excellent wines.”

Monette is familiar with the North Coast area, having previously worked in a similar capacity.

He and his wife Kristin live in Santa Rosa with daughters Camden, Samantha and Makenzie. An outdoor enthusiast, Monette enjoys tennis and golf in his spare time.

Because of his love of the outdoors, he relishes opportunities to visit growers and tour their vineyards.

“We are pleased to have Monette on our team,” said Craig Stoller, vice president of Sunridge Nurseries. “He seems to sincerely enjoy working out in the field, meeting one on one with our customers. That's what is really important to us. Our main goal is to focus on our customers and meeting their needs.”

Monette is a graduate of Pacific Union College in Angwin, Calif., where he was class president. He also has completed the Varietal Winegrape Production Short Course at Davis.

The extensive list of varietal clones available through Sunridge was one of the attractions about the new position, said Monette. The company is a leader in the industry, providing numerous rootstocks and varieties. New products include Easy Vine green benchgrafts and ENTAV French clones.

Sunridge is licensed to propagate the clonal selections trademarked by ENTYAV, the French National Technical Center for the Improvement of Viticulture.

“With a company like Sunridge, I have so much to offer my customers. From the quantity of products to the quality, it's all exceptional,” Monette said. “I enjoy working with the growers. It's wonderful to be working outside in the vineyards and being a part of the beginning of great wine. As Sunridge says, it's where the vintage begins.
