Floater wheels with soil shields prevent wet soil buildup on dish-shaped wheels

Yetter Mfg. Co., has improved its dish-shaped floater wheels for residue management by releasing a bolt-on soil shield to prevent soil buildup in damp conditions.

The 2967 floater wheel, takes the 2966-199 Soil Shield which is easily retrofitted onto existing floater wheel installations.

Yetter officials say in worked soil the shields decrease the possibility the floaters will pitch soil into adjacent rows, and collect wet soil which adds weight.
