Three Heart of the Farm conferences to be held in March.

Three Heart of the Farm conferences for women in agriculture are scheduled for March. The conferences provide educational sessions, agricultural resources, and support for improving farm business decision-making.

The conferences are scheduled for March 2 in Oshkosh, March 8 in Eau Claire and March 9 in Wilton.
The March 2 conference will be at LaSure's Banquet Hall in Oshkosh. Topics for this conference include agriculture law, energy savings approaches for the farmstead, labor laws and employee management, strategies to manage stress, renewable energy for the home and farm, and easy, low maintenance landscaping for the farm. The afternoon speaker will be Michael Perry, author of “Population 485.” Perry lives in rural Wisconsin, where he remains active as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical responder.
