Youth across Wisconsin have the chance to be part of a new milk mustache campaign, and will have the opportunity to win some valuable prizes in the process. The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board is opening its "Wisconsin Milk Mustache Photo Fame Sweepstakes" to all students in grades 7-12, in which the top 12 applicants will star in a new milk mustache poster.
According to Wisconsin Dairy Council Director Laura Wilford, the ultimate goal of the program is to get kids to realize the importance of dairy products in their everyday diet.
"Nine out of 10 teenage girls and seven out of ten teenage boys do not get the recommended calcium they need," Wilford says. "Our goal is to have each student in Wisconsin drink at least one milk at school every day."
Students may also enter the contest by submitting answers to four important questions, which can be found at www.WisDairy.com.
The 12 winners will be awarded the grand prize which includes a photograph with 11 other Wisconsin students on a Milk Mustache poster, a professional makeup session prior to the photo session and a $100 Best Buy gift certificate. Ten students will be awarded a First Prize of a $50 Best Buy gift certificate. Twenty students will receive a Milk Mustache-themed gift.
