Wisconsin corn is the star of a new episode of the children's television series Into the Outdoors set to air the week of Jan.21, on stations across the state and Columbia County Corn Grower Bill Hoffman is featured on the show.

Hoffman, a former president of the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association, appears on the television show discussing different types of corn and uses for the corn he grows. He also explains how family farms have changed and incorporated technology over the last 20 years. Another portion of this show features information on ethanol and was filmed at Didion Milling's Columbia Co., ethanol plant.

The show is an outdoors television series that introduces a variety of outdoor subjects to children in fun and exciting ways. Currently in its eight year of broadcasting, the show won Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards for Excellence in Children's Programming seven consecutive years.
