Vote for Your Favorite County Fair

Vote for Your Favorite County Fair

Badgerland Financial offering $10,000 in prizes.

Back by popular demand, Badgerland Financial is again offering a special initiative to support local county fairs and provide opportunities for youth service projects – and has increased the total funding available to $10,000.

From now until Sept. 23, you can vote for your favorite county fair by completing the survey at (one vote/person/day). Youth organizations from the five counties with the most votes will then be given the opportunity to submit funding requests for service project ideas that directly benefit their local county fairs. Total funding to be allocated to county fair youth service projects in each of the top five vote-getting counties is as follows: first prize $3,000; second prize $2,500; third prize $2,000; fourth prize $1,500; and, fifth prize $1,000.

"Badgerland Financial recognizes that county fairs are important in celebrating ag heritage and rural life, and we also recognize their role in youth development," says Tammy Beard, marketing director. "We've already seen a lot of good things happening for county fairs because of this initiative, and we're excited to offer more funding and expand it to the top five vote-getting counties this year."

In 2010, Badgerland Financial awarded a total of $6,000 to county fair youth service projects in the top three vote-getting counties: Crawford, Columbia and Waupaca. Service projects included landscaping to fairgrounds, petting zoo enhancements, improved signage and displays for youth project areas and facility/structure upgrades.

Do your part to help make a difference by voting daily and spreading the word about this opportunity.  For more information, visit or contact Krista Kasten at 608.356.4903 ext.0149.
