"The new United Cooperative Pulaski facility can unload at 13,000 bushels per hour, an increase of 300% and, a new Zimmerman super-efficient column dryer has more than doubled our drying capacity to 4,700 bushels per hour," commented Alan Jentz, United Cooperative vice president of grain operations and risk management. "The receiving pit has also been enlarged 500% to accommodate semi loads; now semis can unload in a matter of seconds, helping to speed up our customers' grain harvests."

Other Pulaski additions and improvements include scale automation, interfaced grading equipment, a truck probe, 60,000 bushels of wet space, 280,000 bushels of upright dry space, and a bunker system for additional dry-grain storage.

"All these modifications will ensure fast unloading and more efficient hours of operation. The upgraded Pulaski grain facility is an important part of our thirty-plus million bushels of grain storage, companywide," added Jentz.

United Cooperative allows grain-bank storage at all their locations. "We can accommodate all your harvest needs, including marketing plans for all commodities," noted Jentz. Daily, local cash-bid prices and other market information is available on United Cooperative's Website: www.unitedcooperative.com. Daily cash grain bids can also be sent via text message.

Pulaski accepts corn, soybeans, and wheat; hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (adjusted according to weather). Hours may be reduced as the season winds down.
