Tweco Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet Offers Versatility, Value

Tweco Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet Offers Versatility, Value

Four sensors allow for welding, grinding, and TIG operations at a fraction of some helmet prices.

The new WeldSkill auto-darkening welding helmet from Tweco wastes no time protecting your eyesight with its 1/30,000ths second reaction time to low and high powered arcs. The solar-powered WeldSkill also offers a grinding mode.

The WeldSkill has a large viewing area of 3.86"X 1.69", weighs only 1 lb. and needs no batteries to do its job. It comes with an MSRP of $129.

Although it switches lightning fast, operators can select three dark-to-light modes for those times when one might prefer a longer transition time, like giving the red hot weld puddle time to cool.

Tweco's new auto-darkening welding helmet features four light sensors for maximum versatility at an affordable price.

Designed for comfort and safety, strength, flexibility and comfort, the WeldSkill four-sensor helmet passes all of the 49 tests required under ANSI Z87.1-210 standards.

Tweco placed the sensitivy and delay knobs on the outside of the helmet so operators can make adjustments without removing it. Also, the face plate is recessed to reduce scratching and other damage when the helmet is set aside during breaks.

The WeldSkill comes in four popular styles and is backed by a two-year warranty.
