Topcon, Farmers Edge Sign Licensing Agreement

Agreement integrates Topcon's SGIS software into Farmers Edge precision management platform

Topcon Precision Agriculture has signed a global licensing agreement with Farmers Edge, a provider of farm management and precision agronomy services. This agreement is focused around the integration of Topcon's SGIS agronomic desktop software into the Farmers Edge web-based precision farm management platform, Precision Edge.

Precision Edge is a system that enables food companies, input retailers, agronomists and farmers to manage field centric data, variable rate technology, remote sensing, crop surveillance and field information.

Wade Barnes, president and CEO of Farmers Edge, said the integration of SGIS into Precision Edge will add important components such as yield analysis and a more robust layering tool for farm data.
