Missouri State Fair Foundation kicks off statewide membership campaign.

Missourians wanting to help preserve state fair memories for future generations now can join a new Missouri State Fair Foundation membership program. The MSFF kicked off its first-ever statewide membership campaign last week in Sedalia.

"In today's world of constant change, uncertain economic future, and limited government budgets, our Missouri State Fair needs to be protected so future generations can create their own 'blue ribbon' memories at the fair," says Jeremy Parsons, MSFF executive secretary. "Joining the Missouri State Fair Foundation is one way all Missourians can help."

Yearly memberships in the foundation begin at $100, with various levels extending to $1,000.

"Your tax-deductible donation will help us preserve, improve and perpetuate the rich heritage of the Missouri State Fair – and, as a small token of our appreciation, give you the opportunity to receive free fair admission, reserved parking, and even purchase grandstand tickets in advance," Parsons notes.

Funds generated from the membership drive will be used by the foundation for a variety of projects, including improvements to buildings on the fairgrounds and the construction of the Coliseum Annex Arena.

"The Missouri State Fair is a place where for more than a century Missourians of all ages have gathered to spend time together, celebrating the best that the Show-Me State has to offer," Parsons said. "We just want future generations to have the same opportunity."
