Strong Export Sales Support Corn and Soybeans

Strong Export Sales Support Corn and Soybeans

Export sales that exceeded expectations across the board are offering support to grain prices. (audio)

Corn and soybeans have rallied today with export sales of 38.687 million bushels for corn and 50.574 million bushels for soybeans. Wheat exports brought bullish numbers with sales at 22.711 million bushels last week and another 4.04 million bushels sold to Egypt this morning, but the market continues to struggle to make gains. Snow in the northern Midwest yesterday could slow harvest in the areas that are furthest from finishing, but the snows that are currently in the Plains should cause little delay for late corn harvest.

Farm Futures Market Analyst Paul Burgener reports on morning grain trade. Listen to him using the audio player on this page.
