Wisconsin's largest farm organization will hold its annual meeting Dec. 2-4 at the Marriott in Middleton. The theme of event is "Leading a Growing and Dynamic Agriculture.'"
The conference kicks-off on Sunday, Dec. 2 with the Young Farmer Discussion Meet competition. Rural Mutual Insurance will also hold workshops on the Right to Farm law and farm insurance in the afternoon. The evening program will recognize the top County Extension Ag Agent and top Agriculture Instructor with Partners in Agriculture awards.
The Farm Bureau Business Session will be held Monday, Dec. 3 where members will summarize the accomplishments of Farm Bureau and hear a report on the organization's outlook by President Bill Bruins. The afternoon will feature Molly Jahn, dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Monday night, Farm Bureau will recognize top volunteers and county Farm Bureaus and present the Distinguished Service to Agriculture and Distinguished Service to Farm Bureau awards. The winners of the Young Farmer competitions will also be announced.
On Tuesday, Dec. 4 members will set policy for the organization during the Farm Bureau resolutions session.
