First annual event will feature farms and mill in Houston and Fillmore counties.

The first annual Sheep & Fiber Tour will be held in Southeast Minnesota, Saturday, October 8, and Sunday, October 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Sheep and Fiber Farm Tour will feature farms in the counties of Houston and Fillmore counties. Of special interest will be the new English Garden Fiber Mill. The mill will process raw wool and other into luxurious fibers. The farms within these counties will feature wool breed sheep, demonstrations of felting, and spinning and weaving. Hand spinner's fleeces, felting bats, rovings, hand painted yarns, handspun yarns and other fiber items will be for sale.

The tour is presented by the Fiber Folke group of SE Minnesota. The group is dedicated to the promotion of sustainable fiber,education of fiber art,the fiber artist and their art.
