Rust Spores Scattered Across Midwest by Weekend Storms

Discoveries of soybean rust Monday reached double digits.

Add Tennessee to the list of states where soybean rust has been found in 2007. Scientists confirmed rust in GibsonCounty on Monday. Seven Missouri counties were also confirmed with cases of rust. The counties are all in south Missouri and with the exception of a case found in StoddardCounty that was classified moderate, all were very low incidence findings.

Two additional counties were also added to the Florida list on Monday. That brings the count to 16 states and 179 counties that rust has been found in this year. To track rust, go to the USDA's soybean rust site, www.sbrusa.net.
