Rotella T Goes Synthetic

Shell offers synthetic Rotella.

Shell Lubricants has unveiled a full-synthetic version of Rotella T in 5W40 for light and medium duty diesel truck engines. The new formulation offers synthetic oil's extreme temperature benefits along with API's CJ-4 motor oil rating.

Shell's engineers say company tests of Rotella T Synthetic showed an average of 34% improvement in wear with substantially improved protection against cylinder liner wear. The new oil is also aimed at fighting thickening from soot and other contaminants.

The synthetic version of Rotella is backwards compatible to engines built before 2007, and is capable of boosting fuel economy by about one percent.

The new formulation is available in bulk, drums, gallons and quarts. For more information click on: www.Rotella.com.
