Precision chemigation, fertigation systems announced

Neptune offers range of systems, and the company's Series 500 pumps offer added features.

Precision application of crop protection products and fertilizer through a drip or center pivot irrigation system is more critical today than ever before. And Neptune Chemical Pump Co. is stepping up with a range of products.

The company's fertigation and chemigation systems are designed to apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and other strong chemicals.

The company's fertigation and chemigation systems are designed to apply fertlizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and other strong chemicals. The tanks have a sloped bottom for complete drainage and ease of cleaning. All tanks larger than 55 gallons are fitted with double-wall containment and with double-wall injection lines to protect the environment. Double-wall designs offer containment without taking up too much space. And a cover shields the pump, piping and electrical controls from the elements and excludes rain and debris, which allows 100% reclaim of uncontaminated chemical in the event of a spill or broken line.

The Neptune Series 500 pumps are accurate, repeatable and offer easily adjustable flow rates. That gives you flexibility to adjust to changing growing conditions. With rising crop input prices, precision injection at just the right time is more critical than ever. This can lower operating costs and boost yields.

Neptune Series 500 pumps feature Eze-Clean valve cartridges that can be removed for cleaning without disturbing the piping to the pump; and a Variable Oil By-pass stroke adjustment allows for better valve performance.

Neptune Series 500 pumps feature Eze-Clean valve cartridges that can be removed for cleaning without disturbing the piping to the pump; and a Variable Oil By-pass stroke adjustment allows for better valve performance. It allows the valve checks extra time to seat even in heavy liquids since they are idle during the by-pass portion of the suction and discharge strokes. Series 500 pumps are available with special pump heads to allow for pumping thicker liquids and suspensions. The pumps have capabilities to 100 gph simplex and 200 gph duplex at pressures up to 3,000 psi.
