Northey to Listen to Iowans' Views

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture to visit Hamilton, Decatur, Wayne, Davis, Appanoose, and Van Buren Counties July 25-27.

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey today announced that he will be visiting six counties in across Iowa from Wednesday, July 25 to Friday, July 27, 2007 to listen to Iowans, discuss the opportunities available in agriculture and answer any questions area residents might have. The stops are part of Northey's effort to have a town meeting in each of Iowa's 99 counties.

Northey will be visiting Webster City, Leon, Corydon, Bloomfield, Centerville and Keosauqua.

"I think it's important to make myself available to listen to Iowans and answer their questions about agriculture and the issues facing farmers across the state," Northey said. "I hope all interested parties, farmers and non farmers alike, will come out and take part in the discussion."
