New Holland Raises Another $68,500 For Military Family Support

New Holland Raises Another $68,500 For Military Family Support
Equipment manufacturer continues to donate support to Fisher House in appreciation for nation's military heroes and their families. You can help.

On Thursday, New Holland Agriculture presented a $68,500 check to Fisher House Foundation, which provides a home away from home for military families to be close to their Armed Forces loved ones during hospitalization for an illness or injury. That's in addition to $535,000 raised last year for the non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of the nation's military and their families.

David Coker, president of the non-profit Fisher House, indicated the $68,500 check would go toward building a Fisher House in Milwaukee, Wis. And the gifting isn't over.

BIG CHECK: David Coker, president of the Fisher House Foundation, received a ceremonial check for $68,500 from Abe Hughes, vice president of New Holland North America.

Visitors to New Holland's True Blue Salute website are invited to show their appreciation to our military heroes by writing a "thank you" letter to a member of the Armed Forces. For each 'thank you" letter sent, New Holland will donate $1, up to $10,000, to the Fisher House Foundation.

Special offer through July 6
From now through July 6, New Holland is offering active and retired military personnel, veterans, and their spouses, children and parents, $750 off the purchase of Boomer 30 to 50 compact tractor models, Rustler utility vehicles, select utility tractors and light construction equipment. And the company  will donate $100 to Fisher House for each tractor and utility vehicle sold in the United States.

Veterans and military personnel must show a valid government-issued military ID card or other proof of service to receive the discount. See your local New Holland dealer for details.

Boomer is a NASCAR champ
New Holland is the official ag equipment of NASCAR, and as a partner in "NASCAR:  An American Salute" has come up with another auction item to benefit Fisher House and military families.

A Boomer 25 compact tractor hood has been autographed by all the winning drivers of last year's 16 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. The hood, nicknamed "Champ", contains the autographs of Brad Keselowski, the 2012 Sprint Cup Series champion, and Matt Kenseth, winner of the history-making 2012 Daytona 500. Additional autographs include some of the sports' best drivers, such as: Marcos Ambrose, Greg Biffle, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Newman, and Tony Stewart.

"Champ" will be auctioned on The NASCAR Foundation website.
