The National FFA Organization awarded a $1,000 Rabo AgriFinance scholarship to Carrie Warmka of the Waupun Area FFA Chapter in Waupun. This scholarship is one of four awarded by Rabo AgriFinance to outstanding high school seniors throughout the United States who have enrolled in an accredited post-secondary educational institution and who have met other academic, leadership and involvement requirements established by the National FFA Foundation.
A four-year member of FFA, Warmka took part in dairy judging competitions. Warmka plans to use the funds to attend the University of Wisconsin in Madison, with majors in dairy science and life science communication. Warmka then plans to attend veterinary medical school to become a large animal veterinarian.
"Excellent young students like Carrie are the foundation of a future that will continue to build the sustainability of our country's agricultural industry," says Greg Nickrent, regional manager with Rabo AgriFinance in Sterling, Ill. "As the premier agricultural financier, we help our customers set a strategic path to their success.
