Monsanto is inviting farmers and dealers to their Monsanto Learning Center in Monmouth this week for a field day on Thursday, July 19. The Monmouth Plot Day begins at 8:30 a.m. with registration. Tours will begin following registration and will include lunch.

During the Plot Day, farmers will get a look at research and technology being developed in Monsanto's technology pipeline. Various experts will be on hand to field questions and address upcoming industry-wide issues.

"As an agricultural company, Monsanto recognizes that farmers want to know about the products and technologies we are researching," says Dan Zinck, Monsanto's Monmouth Learning Center Director. Farmers will get to take a look at Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybeans, Vistive soybeans, drought tolerant corn – and the way researchers test it – among other traited products.

Featured topics for the plot day include stress management, premium market opportunities, second generation corn and soybean technologies and new soybean production technology techniques.
