Markets Digest Reports on Slow Day

Grain markets are quietly digesting Friday's report today as the nation observes Veteran's Day. (Audio)

Corn is trading higher, holding onto the surprising demand driven rally from Friday as the soybean market takes back a little profit after the big move higher. Wheat markets are mostly steady as they look for any reason to find support with slowing export sales holding them back. Harvest weather is holding on for most of the Midwest as showers hit the northern tier.

Grain markets are quietly digesting Friday’s report today as the nation observes Veteran’s Day.

Market Analyst Paul Burgener joined the Farm Futures team in November 2012 and brings a solid ag economics background. A former University of Nebraska Extension Ag Economist with training from the University of Wyoming, Burgener brings extensive experience to his new role. Most recently, he was involved in agricultural finance, and will offer that perspective through his comments and writing.
