Mad About Crave Brothers Mascarpone Contest

Mad About Crave Brothers Mascarpone Contest

Deadline to submit recipes is Jan. 13.

Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics Cheese is calling on home cooks to submit their recipes for the Mad About Crave Brothers Mascarpone Contest. Competitors have until Jan. 13 to send their recipe ideas for appetizers/side dishes (includes salads), main dishes and desserts. If you are tech savvy, please include a one-minute (or less) video demo of your recipe for the Crave Brothers website.

Each of the three competition categories will have a first place winner. The prize package for category winners includes $200 for first place and inclusion in a widely distributed recipe booklet. The Grand Prize winner will be awarded an Apple iPad 2.

Crave Brothers award-winning Mascarpone is a versatile, creamy sweet cheese that adds its rich flavor to everything from Creamy Mascarpone Mushroom Soup and Mascarpone Pesto Chicken Rolls to desserts such as Craves' Signature Chocolate Mascarpone Pie. We're looking for innovative, family-friendly recipe ideas that demonstrate creative and versatile mascarpone recipes.

Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics Cheeses are made with milk from the Crave Brothers Dairy Farm. The cheeses are all produced at the farmstead cheese factory on a sustainable, state-of-the-art family farm.  To learn more about Crave Brothers Mascarpone visit the website at www.cravecheese.com.  Send recipes and videos by email to alise@cravecheese.com or by mail to Crave Brothers, Attn. Alise, W11555 Torpy Road, Waterloo, WI 53594.  Entries must be postmarked by January 13, 2012.

The Crave family farms 2,000 acres of rich land in south-central Wisconsin, growing soybeans, corn and alfalfa to use as nutritious feed for their Holstein cows. From the manure digester to water recovery, sustainability is top-of-mind on the farm. Every pound of cheese made by George Crave, a licensed cheese maker, is made with milk from the family's herd. Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese produces Mascarpone, Fresh Mozzarella, Les Frères and Petit Frère French-style cheeses, Farmer's Rope Part-Skim Mozzarella String Cheese and Oaxaca.
