Loftness Grain Bag Unloader Makes Quick Work Of 12-Foot Bags

GrainLogix GBU12 boasts 12-inch augers to collect grain and a 17-inch screw to deliver it to the cart.

Unloading 12-foot grain bags is the sole goal of the new GrainLogix GBU grain bag unloader from Loftness.

The totally-hydraulic powered unit uses a pair of 12-inch augers to collect grain from the bag and husltes it to a main 17-inch auger to deliver it to a trailer or grain cart. It moves 1,000 bushels in about five minutes.

The high torque, chain-driven bag roller includes welded teeth to squarely secure the bag, and it features large end caps to keep the bag on track. Additionally, the machine comes equipped with a dual-position knife, which can be adjusted according to the bag shape. After a bag is unloaded, the roller clutch can be engaged by hand to quickly and easily remove it.

Loftness's new GrainLogix GBU12 grain bag unloader is hydraulically-powered and designed for fast unloading of 12-foot diameter bags.

The GBU-12 is powered by a central hydraulic system with inline pumps and a hydraulically-powered cooling system. The controls have ground-level access to regulate roller speed, axle height, and main auger position.

The GBU-12 requires 150 horsepower at the powertake off and spins at 1,000 rpm. A variety of drive shaft spline options are available to accommodate multiple PTO output shaft profiles.
