The annual Agronomy Update Meeting will be held Thursday, Jan. 6 at UW-Fond du Lac in the University Center. The meeting begins with lunch at noon, which will then be followed by the program at 1 p.m. If you're looking for an opportunity to get a good overview of new research and innovations in crop production, this is the place to be.
Extension Agronomists Joe Lauer, Shawn Conley, and Dan Undersander will be on hand to discuss a variety of topics related to corn management for grain and silage, soybean, alfalfa, and small grain production.
You'll also take home a packet of agronomy-related information that includes the University of Wisconsin hybrid and variety performance trials for 2010. Cost for the meeting is $28 per person, which includes the meal and educational materials. Pre-registration can be done through the Fond du Lac County Extension office at 920-929-3171 or by obtaining a program registration form on the internet at: www.uwex.edu/ces/crops/2011AgronomyUpdate.pdf.
