There’s money on the line if you’re a student in grade 7 through 12. It’s the CountryMark/Indiana Prairie Farmer essay contest- the first time it’s been held. Countrymark is providing $500 that will be split amongst six top entrants in the contest.
To clear up confusion, the essays will be accepted as long as they are postmarked on Friday, Feb 15, not received by then, as previously stated. So if you’ve put off writing it or just forgot to send it, here’s your ‘second chance.’
Include a cover letter that specifies your name, parent or guardian’s name. Send to: Susan Hayhurst, 14477 S. Carlisle Street, Terre Haute, IN 47802.
The topic for the essay should be an easy one to tackle: Educating the Public about agriculture. Maximum length is 300 words.
Winners will be announced in the April issue. Don’t let this opportunity slip by!
