The Land O'Lakes Board of Directors completed its election of officers during the national food and agricultural cooperative's annual meeting in Minneapolis.
Pete Kappelman, a dairy producer from Two Rivers, was re-elected as chairman of the board. Kappelman and his brother own Meadow Brook Farms, a 420-Holstein and 1,200-acre operation in Manitowoc County. He joined the Land O'Lakes Board of Directors in 1995 and served as board secretary and first vice chairman before being elected chairman in 2004.
Kappelman also serves on the National Dairy Board, National Milk Producers Federation Board and the Board of the U.S. Dairy Export Council. He is a member of Country Horizons Cooperative and Valders Elevator Co-op.
